With the announcement of new festival area, Weekend Festival will expand to three days. Pre sale of Weekend Festival 3-day tickets start on Friday 3.12. at 9.00. The price of a three-day advance ticket is € 179. General Admission 3 day tickets will go on sale on December 10, 21 at 9:00 AM.
Weekend Festival will bring more than 80 artists to the Kantola Event Park in Hämeenlinna next summer. The festival stages will feature foreign artists including Tove Lo, Nina Kraviz, Boy Pablo, Jay 1, Pi’erre Bourne, Rezz, Tchami and Zhu.
Top Finnish artists such as JVG, Sanni and Pyhimys have also been locked for Weekend Festival.
The first headliners and more artist releases are coming soon.
The Weekend Festival is celebrated in the Kantola event park and in the adjacent industrial area. Overall, the Weekend Festival’s event area is the largest festival area ever held in Finland.
“The Weekend Festival will be bigger than ever in honor of the 10th anniversary,” says Weekend Festival Director Martin Mustonen. “Kantola Event Park provides a unique setting for a completely revamped and larger Weekend Festival. We want to be Finland’s most European festival and it needs a large and functional festival field. In addition, Hämeenlinna has excellent transport connections in the middle of big cities. We are creating this event together with the people of Hämeenlinna by cooperating with local actors as widely as possible. After a long break, we offer our customers a holistic experience, and it will be reflected in a wide range of artist as well as in the renewed service offering, for example in terms of food experiences, ancillary services and VIP areas.
The Weekend Festival is also expected in Hämeenlinna. “This is a great thing for Hämeenlinna’s image and a great boost for the region’s business community,” says Kari Saarinen, CEO of Linnan Kehitys, Hämeenlinna’s business company. “We estimate that the regional economic impact of the festival will be approximately EUR 10 million per year,” Saarinen continues.
Pre-sale of three-day tickets for Weekend newsletter subscribers and tickets available from Ticketmaster. Tickets purchased for the 2020 and 2021 festivals will serve as admission tickets for the 2022 festival. The two-day tickets for 2020 and 2021 will give you a three-day bracelet at the 2022 festival.
