Tens of Thousands Partied to Top Acts at Weekend Festival

Over 30,000 fans of quality electronic dance music filled the stands of Weekend Festival on August 1–2. The event was a great success for the audience, the artists, and the weather. Rain only arrived during the night after Friday, meaning both festival days were enjoyed under sunny and dry skies.

More than 60 Finnish and international artists performed at Weekend, with main stage highlights including Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Robin Schulz, and Fisher. On the Future Stage, standout performances came from Sub Zero Project and Angerfist. The CNNCT x Taco Bell and Local Pulse stages also drew strong crowds and positive feedback.

“Weekend was especially successful this year. A big thank you to our audience who enjoyed the top artists respectfully, without any major disturbances. The performances were incredible, and we also want to thank our staff and the many volunteers who made it all possible,” says Weekend Festival’s Marketing Director Atro Anttila.

Both festival days ended with an epic laser and fireworks show.

“Once again, Weekend was more than just music and great artists. We invested in creating a full-scale experience where music was fused with unique visuals. Our main stage, for example, was a custom-built structure unlike anything seen before in Finland – over 50 meters wide and rising more than 15 meters high. The impressive setup was completed with over 250 square meters of LED screens and more than 200 lighting and laser units,” Anttila adds.

Weekend Festival will return next year to the same location in Espoo Vermo in early August. The event will remain 18+, and Blind Tickets are now on sale through Tiketti, Ticketmaster, and Lippu.fi.
