Weekend Festival, Lenovo and Motorola launch a DJ competition, with the winner earning a performance slot at the festival
Weekend Festival’s technology partners Lenovo and Motorola are joining forces with Weekend Festival to launch a DJ competition in search of a new future DJ talent. The winner of the competition will get the opportunity to perform at Weekend Festival and become part of the programme of one of Finland’s largest electronic music festivals.
Elisa is also involved in the collaboration, helping to enable the partnership and the execution of the competition.
The competition offers up-and-coming artists an opportunity to showcase their talent to a large audience. The competition is open to all artists who identify as DJs and who will be at least 18 years old by the start of the festival.
Lenovo and Motorola will also reward the top contestants with product prizes. The prizes include a Lenovo Legion laptop, Motorola phones and Weekend Festival tickets.
Prizes
The winner of the competition will receive a performance slot at Weekend Festival. In addition, the winner will receive a Lenovo Legion laptop, a Motorola phone and four two-day VIP tickets to Weekend Festival.
The runner-up will receive a performance slot at the Weekend Festival afterparty. In addition, the runner-up will receive a Motorola phone and four two-day Priority tickets to Weekend Festival.
The third-place contestant will receive a Motorola phone and four two-day festival tickets to Weekend Festival.
How to enter
The competition is open for entries on the competition page from 11 May to 24 May. To enter, participants must upload a DJ mix of no more than 20 minutes to Mixcloud or SoundCloud. The DJ mix must be created by the participant.
Participants must also fill in the entry form carefully. The winners of the competition will be announced during the last week of May.
The competition is organised by Weekend Festival, Lenovo and Motorola.
