Arrival and Traffic Arrangements

Weekend Festival Traffic Arrangements and Accessibility – How to Get to Vermo!

Weekend Festival takes place on the first weekend of August, 1–2 August, at Vermo Event Park in Espoo (Valjakkotie 1, 02600 Espoo). Temporary traffic arrangements will be in place during the event, and arriving by public transport or bicycle is strongly recommended.

Arriving by Public Transport – Use the HSL Journey Planner

Vermo is easily accessible by HSL buses, commuter trains, and the light rail. Leppävaara Station is within walking distance of the festival area, and Light Rail Line 15 stops right at Vermo, arriving from both Itäkeskus and Keilaniemi. HSL tickets are valid on all modes of public transportation.

Plan your route with ease: use the HSL Journey Planner to find the fastest and most convenient route to the festival area. The Journey Planner provides real-time schedules, routes, and ticket zone information.

HSL will operate additional trains and longer train units for the festival weekend:

  • A trains will run until approximately 2:00 AM on Friday and Saturday nights.
  • Between Leppävaara and Helsinki, A and L trains will run every 10 minutes until 1:46 AM, after which L trains will continue every 30 minutes until 3:06 AM.
  • E and U trains will also operate with extended train units during peak hours.

Single tickets can be purchased easily using contactless payment – at the same price as in the app. Tickets are also available from ticket machines, sales points, and the HSL app.

Accessible Drop-off and Parking

The accessible drop-off point is located at the Vermontie bus stop (Kaarlo Sarkiankatu, stop ID E1183). The designated accessible parking area is on the gravel section at the intersection of Vermontie and Uuno Kailaankatu.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements 1–3 August

Temporary traffic arrangements will be in effect from Friday 1 August at 12:00 noon until Sunday 3 August at 2:00 AM. These arrangements will affect the following areas:

  • Vermontie will be partially closed to traffic between the two roundabouts (public transport will operate normally).
  • Perkkaantie, Tarvaspääntie, Kaarlo Sarkiankatu, Uuno Kailaankatu, and Valjakkotie will have restricted traffic access.
  • Local traffic is allowed, so residents and customers can still reach their properties.

There is no parking available at the festival area. Cyclists can use the bike parking area located at the intersection of Vermontie and Uuno Kailaankatu. The taxi drop-off and pick-up point is located on Perkkaantie, starting from the intersection with Majurinkatu.

Traffic controllers and event organizers will be present throughout the event to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow. We kindly ask for your understanding regarding any temporary disturbances and thank everyone for their cooperation.

The festival, which will be held at Vermo Areena from 1 to 2 August 2025, may cause temporary noise to the surrounding area. The sound level will be monitored with continuous measurements and we will do everything we can to ensure that the event causes as little inconvenience as possible to the residents of the area.
