Weekend Festival returns to Espoo’s Vermo event park in the Disco Nation spirit as Northern Europe’s largest electronic dance music festival. Swedish Alesso and world-touring Australian DJ Timmy Trumpet will be the main performers on Saturday. Friday’s main performers are Grammy winner Tiësto and the highly popular Alan Walker. The Weekend Festival will be celebrated on August 2-3, 2024. The event will be organized for the first time with an age limit.

Weekend Festival will see the performances of international artists who enjoy great popularity next summer, when Finland’s most popular electronic music festival brings the most popular artists of the genre and the hottest DJ artists of the moment to Espoo.

Saturday’s second headliner will be multi-platinum DJ and producer Alesso. The Swedish artist is known as a pioneer of electronic music: he has collected two RIAA-certified platinum records, two certified gold singles, more than 6 billion global streams on Spotify alone, and has done countless collaboration projects with, among others, Katy Perry, Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, and Tiësto. His hits “Let Me Go,” “Heroes” and “When I’m Gone” also charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Alesso’s fan base extends all over the world: in the last few years, Alesso’s songs have been played on TikTok videos almost a billion times.

Saturday’s second main performer is the Australian DJ, songwriter and producer Timmy Trumpet, who has collected more than 2.5 billion streams with his production, who will finally come to Finland to perform. Having performed at the world’s biggest festivals, Timmy Trumpet has been one of the most desired performers in festival goers’ polls every year.

On the opening day, Friday, Dutch Grammy winner Tiësto and Finns’ favorite Norwegian Alan Walker will be on the main stage. GRAMMY® Award-winning, international icon Tiësto has amassed over 13 billion streams on Spotify alone and sold over 36 million records. He has performed at Finland’s Weekend Festival once before in 2016. Norwegian DJ Alan Walker, who has made songs with international star artists as well as Finnish artists that have garnered billions of streams, will return to the Weekend Festival this summer also on Friday.

In addition to the main performers, this year’s Weekend Festival will feature Boris Brejcha, Showtek, Will Sparks, Tungevaag and Darude. For the first time, one of the stages is completely curated by the artists of the international record company, FCKNG Serious label.

The artists’ performance times will be announced later. All in all, more than 60 artists will perform at the festival next summer.
