WHAT DOES CASHLESS PAYMENT MEAN?

Cashless payment means that you will be able to make all your purchases using your wristband, which works in the same way as any contactless-enabled cards. Many big, international festivals also use this form of payment, which is a faster and safer payment method at a festival site. You will not be able to pay for your purchases at the festival site with cash or bank cards!

The wristband also works as your festival ticket. Don’t lose it.

BENEFITS OF PAYING WITH CASHLESS

Cashless is a safe, convenient, and a fast way to pay for your purchases at the festival site. It is a fail-safe system that works in offline mode even if the connection to network fails. Cashless payments are used in the same way as any contactless-enabled cards. The wristband cannot be easily removed from your wrist without breaking it, so your ”digital wallet” will be with you at all times throughout the festival.

  1. Cashless payment is the safest and the fastest way to pay for your purchases at the festival site.
  2. You will minimize your queuing time, leaving you more time to enjoy the performances of your favorite artists.
  3. You will not need your wallet at the festival if you have topped-up enough money in advance to your account.

CREATE MYWKND ACCOUNT AND MINIMIZE QUEUING TIME

We recommend activating your wristband before entering the festival either at our wristband exchange points. If you have ordered your wristband to your home address, you will be able to activate it through your MyWKND account. Your wristband will automatically be linked with your ticket and your already existing MyWKND account.

You will get most out of your wristband if you preload spending money in advance using your MyWKND account!

Benefits of using your MyWKND account:

  • The Cashless system minimizes your queuing time if you preload spending money to your wristband
  • You will receive bonus money to your account
  • You will be able to view all your transactions and receipts on your account
  • You are able to link your bank card details with your wristband. Your bank details are secured with a secure server. Your wristband will then work as your means of payment without you having to separately top-up money to your wristband.

You can create your MyWKND account by clicking ”WyWKND” section on the festival’s website at www.wknd.fi . You will find the section at the top right corner of the website.

  • To create your account, you will need your personal ticket number (14-digit series below/next to the QR/bar code). Please note that both the number 0 and the letter O are used in the codes, so check your spelling.
  • You must register your ticket before the wristband!
  • If you have for example a ticket for Friday and Saturday, register your ticket for Friday first. Your ticket for Saturday will be linked to your wristband at the festival gates.
  • If you have not created your MyWKND account, and want to do so later on during the festival, you will be able to do that with your personal ticket number. This way you will also be able to view all your purchases on your MyWKND account.

1. Can I link my friends tickets and wristbands to my own MyWKNd account?

Your MyWKND account is your personal account. Register only your own ticket and wristband.

2. If I have a ticket for Friday and Saturday, which one do I register first?

Register ONLY the first day’s ticket you’re coming on. The second day’s ticket will be linked to the wristband at the festival gates.

3. What if my wristband breaks or doesn’t work?

You can get a new wristband from the Festival Info. We recommend everyone to keep their ticket with them in case of emergencies like this.

4. I lost my wristband, and it has credit on it. How do I get my money back?

The code on the back of the chip works as your ID number. We recommend to take a picture of yourself with the number series on show before you go through the gates.

5. Can I share for example my 3 day ticket with my friends, so that I come to the festival for one day and my friends on the other 2 days?

This is not possible because we change your ticket to a wristband that works as your means of paying.

6. Is the balance on my wristband prioritized somehow?

Yes. The credit you have preloaded to your wristband is used first before you can benefit from the bonus money.

7. Can I use the bonus money to buy anything at all at the festival site?

No. You can only use your bonus money at the bars to purchase beverages and Weekend burgers.

8. For some reason the balance does not show on my account even though my bank has been charged.

This could only be a delay. It is common that there might be a delay up to 24 h. If you can’t see your balance on your account after 30 minutes, contact Cashless Info during the festival.

9. I have top-upped credit to my wristband, but there’s still no credit. What now?

Make sure it is your own wristband. You have to make sure the wristband you have is linked to your own ticket in case more than one ticket has been exchanged to a wristband in advance.

10. How do I know how much money I have spent?

You will be able to see your balance after each purchase you have made. You will also be able to view your receipts on your MyWKND account. We recommend to opt for auto topups to make sure you don’t run out of credit during your stay at the festival.

11. Where do I find the chip number if I don’t have the wristband anymore?

If you have accidentally thrown away your wristband, but have created a MyWKND account you will be able to check your chip number there. You will see your ticket number and underneath it your chip code (14-digit code) on your account.

In case you haven’t had a chance to create an account we can check your chip code with your ticket number. You can send a picture of your ticket or type the longest number series on your ticket. You will be able to find this close to the bar code.

12. When should I create MyWKND account?

We recommend that you create your account once you have received your ticket. This will leave you time to purchase any wanted additional services. This will also leave you time to preload money to your account before the festival.

You will need your ticket number to open your account.

13. Will all ticket types be exchanged to wristbands?

Yes. This will significantly speed up entering the festival and minimize queuing time. With your wristband you are also free to enter or exit the festival site as you wish during the festival opening times.

14. What do I do if I didn’t receive my ticket to my email?

Send an email to info@wknd.fi, and will sort it out for you.

15. Can I sell my ticket?

Yes. You can sell your ticket at own risk.

16. Where and how can I get my wristband?

You can get the wristband in the following ways:

Activate your wristband in advance on your MyWKND account to ensure a fast entry to the festival. Each wristband must be ordered separately. We highly recommend this option to all of our customers to avoid queues. You can only order your wristband to a Finnish address.

3. You can exchange your ticket to a wristband for free at our exchange points at the festival gates. We do not recommend this option.
